The RiSE Initiative proudly announces the official launch of the Real Care app in New Zealand, providing real estate professionals with a free, evidence-based wellness tool designed to address the unique mental health challenges within the industry.
Developed in collaboration with Utility Creative and supported by Domain, the Real Care app has been instrumental in supporting over 10,000 users across Australia.
With its expansion into New Zealand, the app aims to offer the same level of support to Kiwi real estate agents, property managers, and their families.
Key Features of the Real Care App:
Rapid Relief Tools: Immediate access to exercises designed to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions.
Wellbeing Checks: Track and monitor mental health over time to identify patterns and areas needing attention.
Financial Management: The 'Real Budget' feature assists users in managing finances, a common stressor in the industry
Self-Care Guidance: Resources to establish healthy habits around sleep, exercise, and nutrition.
Confidential Support: Access to three free, confidential phone counselling sessions provided by Domain
"The Real Care app is more than just a wellness tool; it's a lifeline for professionals navigating the high-pressure environment of real estate," said Kylie Davis, Founder of the RiSE Initiative.
"By bringing this resource to New Zealand, we're taking a significant step towards prioritising mental health in our industry."
The app's development was informed by extensive research, including feedback from real estate professionals across Australia and New Zealand.
Studies have highlighted the industry's mental health challenges, with a significant number of agents reporting stress-related symptoms and a lack of accessible support.
"Real estate professionals often face unique stressors, from fluctuating markets to the demands of client relationships," said Nick West, President of the RiSE Initiative.
"The Real Care app offers practical tools to help manage these challenges, promoting a healthier, more sustainable approach to work.
The Real Care app is now available for free download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Real estate professionals in New Zealand are encouraged to utilise this resource to support their mental wellbeing and foster a more resilient industry
