Local Business Owner Retires, Prompting Ray White Kerikeri's Expansion

Ray White Kerikeri has expanded its business to take on five new sales people and a property manager after purchasing another local agency, Property Market (BOI) Limited.

After many successful years in real estate the former owner of Property Market (BOI) Limited Gary Williams has retired and passed the baton to Ray White Kerikeri owner Laura Knox-Whyte.

“I always respected Gary’s leadership and the team spirit he created, his integrity and what I saw as genuine compassion for his team and clients alike,” Laura said.

“We have always had a good relationship with Gary and his team and are looking forward to welcoming them to Ray White Kerikeri, strengthening those relationships, and continuing to provide exceptional real estate and property management services to our community.”

Real estate is in Laura’s blood, with her father Ian Knox joining the Ray White family as a business owner. When Ian sadly passed away, Laura took over management of the business before becoming the owner.

“The business continues to uphold family values and provide a quality professional service for both real estate and property management,” Laura said.

“With the business originally opening in the 1950s, we are the oldest real estate company in the region by decades, and the commitment to our community and trusted longevity of success will continue to grow now and in the future.”

Over the next 12 months, following the merger of the two businesses, Laura’s focus will be working towards making Ray White Kerikeri the contemporary, go-to office in the region.

“With a team of ethical professional people collaborating together in a fun, productive and enjoyable environment, we want to make sure we offer the very best service that we can in our industry,” Laura said.

“Our office is in progress of expansion, which will offer great work spaces and a new face to the longest established real estate company in Kerikeri.”
