Kitty Rothschild Joins Harcourts New Zealand as Northern Regional Manager

Harcourts New Zealand is delighted to announce the appointment of Kitty Rothschild as the Northern Regional Manager. With over two decades of invaluable experience in the real estate industry, Kitty brings a wealth of expertise and a diverse background to her new role at Harcourts.

Her journey in real estate began in 1995, where she initially stepped into the industry to obtain her license, intending it to be a short-term endeavour. However, her passion for property and her drive to initiate personal profile marketing at scale (industry leading), soon propelled her into a successful career trajectory.

In the early days, Kitty specialised in residential sales, initially focusing on premium properties across Remuera and eastern Bays. With a desire to broaden her expertise, she then transitioned into Project Marketing at a time when the vibrancy and development of the inner-city living scene was just beginning. Her expertise led her to establishing a Project Marketing division in a multinational commercial real estate brand and she continued to make significant contributions embarking on an international business development journey.

With a desire for global outreach and professional growth, Kitty expanded her horizons with her own consultancy company, consulting on real estate ventures in Europe consulting to investment consortiums undertaking large-scale investments in the South Pacific region. Her international experience continued living in Spain, where she gained invaluable insights into diverse property markets and practices.

Upon returning to Australasia, Kitty continued to make waves in the industry, working with prestigious firms in Sydney. Her roles encompassed the establishment of project marketing divisions, consultancy and strategic planning, demonstrating her versatility and adaptability in dynamic real estate environments and business start-ups.

Most recently, Kitty was instrumental in spearheading transformative projects, to address challenges within the New Zealand housing sector. Her expertise extends to regeneration and new development projects, most recently, heading up the  development sales division for Metlifecare’s new retirement villages.

In addition to her extensive professional achievements, Kitty has a proven track record across both private and public sectors. She has established successful consultancy groups, opened new markets in regions such as South Africa, UK and Ireland, and continuously prioritised learning and growth throughout her career recently attending INSEAD Business University in France. Kitty has believed in giving back to the industry with 7 years as Ambassador for REINZ, event speaker and as a contributor to collective impact initiatives in addressing our community housing shortage.
