HX2023. The best real estate event in New Zealand
The annual Harcourts New Zealand conference held on 22/23 May brought together over 800 team members from across New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa for two days of inspiring speakers, recognition, and networking with Bryan Thomson, Managing Director Harcourts New Zealand calling it the best Harcourts conference to date and even the best real estate event in New Zealand.
The highlight of the event was the induction of Cameron Bailey, Sales Consultant and Business Owner at Harcourts Gold Real Estate Group Papanui, into the elite Harcourts Hall of Fame. Cameron also won several awards including Top National Sales Consultant and Top National Auction Lister. He said of his wins, “It shows you how wonderful Harcourts is as a brand, you can start at the bottom and move to the top. I have a wonderful team and an amazing family who have helped me celebrate 18 years in real estate.”
Carl Johnston, Commercial Property Broker at Harcourts Invercargill, was also recognised with the Top National NAI Harcourts Rising Star and Top National Rising Star awards and said, “It was a wonderful surprise and very humbling to be acknowledged. It proves that what I have been doing and planning towards is the right path.”
The speakers and panelists were equally impressive, such as Black Fern Ruby Tui, and Tim Jack Adams, a thought leader in the Wellness Industry. The workshops, Q&A sessions, and specialist panels provided ample opportunities for learning and sharing.
Harcourts International Managing Director Mike Green and CEO Steve Caradoc-Davies kicked off the event with thought-provoking opening addresses. Steve emphasised the importance of going the extra mile to make a difference in the business and stand out.
The Harcourts Auction Competition was also a highlight, showcasing the skills of the competitors. The competitors battled some difficult bidding wars but navigated them with flair and wit, cumulating in a close, but well-deserved wins for Harsh Kathuria, Harcourts New Age Realty Ltd who won Most Promising Auctioneer of the Year, Daniel Pengelly, Gold Real Estate Group Ltd who won Senior Division Auctioneer of the Year and Ned Allison from Grenadier Real Estate Ltd who yet again scooped the Auctioneer of the Year award.
HX2023 showed that Harcourts is more than just a real estate company - it's about building trust and providing the finest experience for clients. Despite the challenges in the market, the Harcourts team drew inspiration from each other and their community.
