Barfoot and Thompson's Stephen Reed Partners with Blues Rugby to 'Fill the Blues Bus'

Stephen Reed & the team at Barfoot and Thompson Browns Bay have joined with The Blues Rugby for 'Fill the Blues Bus" Christmas Appeal.

A heartwarming initiative dedicated to bringing joy to families in need this festive season.

Mr Reed, shared his enthusiasm for the initiative on Instagram this week, expressing his belief in the magic of giving, particularly during the holiday season.

At the core of this appeal lies the commitment of The Blues Rugby team.

On their website, they express, "At the Blues, we believe every child deserves a present under their Christmas Tree."

This year, in partnership with The Salvation Army, The Blues aim to make this belief a reality through the 'Fill the Blues Bus' Christmas appeal.

Amidst the challenging economic climate and the cost of living crisis affecting many families in the region, The Blues aspire to collect 20,000 new gifts and $15,000 to spread the joy of Christmas.

Throughout November, gift collection points will be strategically placed in Auckland, Northland, and North Harbour, encouraging those in a position to give to drop off unwrapped presents at designated locations.

The culmination of this heartfelt effort will take place on Friday, December 1st, designated as the massive collection day. Blues players, both men and women, will board three Blues-branded buses to collect the region's generosity and deliver it to families in need.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Throughout November, individuals are invited to drop off their unwrapped presents at the Barfoot and Thompson office in Browns Bay.

Alternatively, those willing to contribute can arrange for a convenient pick-up by contacting Mr Reed directly.

Monetary donations are also welcomed at blues.rugby/fill-the-bus.

This Christmas, The Salvation Army is delighted to renew its partnership with The Blues, enhancing the 'Fill the Blues Bus' appeal to bring even more joy to children across Northland, Auckland, and North Harbour.

Join The Blues in supporting our community and making a meaningful impact this holiday season.

The Blues Buses will be picking up donations from key locations on Friday, December 1st.
